I'm moving my blog.  Yeah, after a long time, I figured I might as well go to a free blog site.

Andy Can't Handle Security

Andy Kleitsch sent me a not complaining about the fact that I'd enabled security on the comment feature, so he would have to log in to post.  Well, I can't have Kleitsch being unable to post comments, so I changed my settings so anyone can post. 

Andy - comment away!  I'll deal with the comment spam as it comes.

I am one selfish motherblogger

While my blogging has been infrequent lately, I still get pissed when the blogs I like to read (Robin, Andy, Ted) are not updated daily.  Clearly, that is the definition of selfishness.

Of these, Ted is the most regular blogger now.  Keep up the good work, my friend.

Robin has actually been writing semi-regularly but now that she's in a happy relationship, her posts bore me to tears.  You're my friend, Robin, but I have to say your blog is MUCH more interesting when you're miserable.  I'm glad you're happy though (sorta).

Kleitsch - well, he seems to do a few updates each time I call out his lack of blogging, so I guess I'll do it again and see if I can't squeeze a few Amsterdam posts out of him.

Yes, The Boathouse Is Back. But...

The long absent Andy's Boathouse came back online a few weeks back.  Ted heralded the return with a special post on his blog.  There was much excitement in Blogville.

I, however, remained skeptical.  Yes, I know that Andy lost his blog because someone decided to start charging for it.  I remember the long absences, though.  The month-long gaps in writing and coverage. 

Like Ted, I also began blogging because I enjoyed reading the Boathouse.  It's now been a week or so without an update, so I'm starting to fear a repeat of the previous patterns. 

Andy, please keep blogging!  I get more information from your wife's (radical) blog about your activities than from your own.  I look forward to more tales from mobile pornville!

New Blog! New Blog!

Don't be afraid.  I'm still going to be posting here.  I am a contributor on a new blog, however.

This blog was set up by one of the guys I've started surfing with, and is dedicated to our surf adventures.  Should be a good time, and I'm so happy to have found some great new friends.  Jeff, in particular, has been responsible for getting me stoked about buying a board and learning to surf.  His enthusiasm is contagious.

If he uses the same persuasion methods to get me to the tattoo parlor, I'm going to have full sleeves by Christmas.

Jana is my Friend

Jana is my friend Andy's wife.  I was talking to him the other day, and he said that she has become an avid reader of my (oft neglected) weblog.  We're much better friends now.

I don't think I won too many points the first time I met Jana.  She was hosting a "couples dinner" at their house, and Andy dragged me along.  I, of course, had no idea that I was going to be guest #7.  Now, with most couples dinners, you need an even number of people.  You also need dinner, which Andy and I brought home with us from an afternoon of overindulgence (Tequila shots and Coronas).  The fine establishment that supplied said dinner? - Kentucky Fried Chicken.  Oh yeah.

Jana wasn't all that happy with Andy, as you can imagine.  I probably ended up with the label of that super drunk friend of Andy's who wrecked the dinner. 

Anyway, I'm glad we're friends now! (I'm even on her "Peeps" list - whoo hoo!!!)  :)
